Dutch mobile use amongst world’s cheapest

Mobile phone users in the Netherlands pay among the lowest tariffs in the world according to a survey by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD).

The OECD compared the cost for an average user (780 phone calls, 600 text messages and eight multi-media messages) in 30 countries in August last year and found prices varied from $11 to $53.
Together with Finland and Sweden, the Netherlands was at the lowest end of the scale, according to the survey. The highest prices were paid in the US, Canada and Spain.
