Concrete causes Schiphol tunnel pile-up
Lumps of concrete falling from a lorry probably led to the 18-car pile-up in the Schiphol motorway tunnel, news agency ANP reports on Monday morning.
Three people were injured in the accident, which led to the closure of two motorway lanes and a 14 km tailback during the morning rush hour.
Police said the crash probably occurred as drivers swerved to avoid the falling blocks.
