Baby girl dies after pram rolls down pier

A seven-week old Dutch baby has died in France after her pram rolled down a pier and crashed into a concrete block, according to a report by French media which is quoted by the Dutch press.

The accident reportedly happened after her mother let go of the pram to take a photograph.

The family were on holiday in Brittany and were taking a walk with their baby, three-year-old daughter and another Dutch couple, according to media reports.

The baby girl was taken to hospital in Rennes but died of her injuries.
