Wednesday 22 July 2009
A total of 211 people in the Netherlands have been diagnosed with swine flu, according to new figures from the public health institute RIVM.
Of them, 65 contracted the disease in the Netherlands itself.
One British soldier taking part in this week's four day Nijmegen walk has been hospitalised with possible symptoms, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday. Over 50,000 cases of H1N1 have been registered in the UK, news agency ANP says.
A number of people taking part in the Nijmegen walk are wearing hospital masks as a precaution.
