Spammer fined €250,000

A man whose firm sent out at least 21 million spam emails has been fined €250,000 by the telecom watchdog Opta, reports ANP news service on Monday.
Opta issued a warning to the man, who has not been named, four years ago. He now faces an additional €5,000 fine for every day his company Serinco Benelux sends out spam mails.
Opta took action after receiving almost 400 complaints against the company.
