PCM cancels Dag website project
Newspaper group PCM has pulled the plug on its news website DAG.nl, which will close down on October 1.
PCM launched Dag as a free newspaper in May 2007 in a joint venture with telecoms group KPN. But the paper failed to find a niche in the free paper market and was stopped October 2008, with Dag continuing as a website.
PCM said on Tuesday it was selling its book divisions in readiness for its takeover by Belgian publishing house Persgroep.
