Netherlands is fifth biggest exporting nation

The Netherlands is the fifth biggest exporting nation in the world, according to the World Trade Organisation’s latest trade report.


Dutch exports totalled $634bn last year, the WTO says. Germany tops the list with exports valued at €1,465bn. China, the US and Japan complete the top five.
The Dutch economy has been particularly hard hit by the recession because of its reliance on exports.
