Independent supermarket group Jumbo is the best option for organic food fans and vegetarians, according to the annual supermarket monitor published by green groups.

Jumbo has a wide range of organic meat and meat replacement dishes and the prices are reasonable, the monitor shows.
Plus has the widest range, with 45 different organic meat products and 50 meat replacement products on sale. Bottom of the list is Super de Boer because of its poor range and high prices.
The monitor shows that organic meat is up to twice the price of factory farmed meat in some supermarkets. Meat replacement products cost as much as four times their meat equivalent.
