Hospitals told to get ready for flu outbreak

Hospitals and other healthcare institutions have been given until September to draw up contingency plans to cope with the expected outbreak of swine flu (H1N1).


Officials estimate between 30% and 50% of healthcare workers could become infected and measures need to be taken to ensure continuity of care, health minister Ab Klink says in a letter to the sector.
