Holland is biggest cycle producer in Europe

The Netherlands produced €577m worth of cycles last year making it Europe’s biggest bike manufacturer with 30% of the market, according to figures published by the national statistics office CBS on Wednesday.

Last year’s production (in value terms) was 20% higher than in 2007, says the CBS. The Dutch market share of European cycle production has been rising since 2004.

and one of the most expensive.The same model of "gazelle" bike, 1280 euros here, 1050 in germany and 780 euros in poland.
I started importing bikes already!

i have never understood the cost of bikes here. the market is completely broken.

I should really start up a factory making AFFORDABLE bikes and selling them accordingly. I bet id make a killing!

@PatriotinExile...count me in!! (kidding) but it is true that you can very easily import bikes and sell them at maarktplats etc. Tax office could be a problem..but...
