Cafe smoking ban encourages more to stop

Friday 03 July 2009

Some 1.2 million people tried to stop smoking between April 2008 and this April - or one third of the total smoking population, according to Maastricht University research.

But before the smoking ban was introduced in July, some 900,000 people a year would attempt to quit the habit, the research showed.

Of the people who have tried to stop since last April, one-third managed to quit for good.

"the rest of the smoking population are holed up in the Groningen"
What a novel idea! Just make sure the hole is deep enough so the smoke doesn't get out into our air.

smoking should be our biggest problem. the same people that want to legalise every other vice despise smoking. live and let live. every one has his time.
