Amsterdam slides on expensive city ranking

Amsterdam has fallen from 25th to 29th place on the annual Mercer list of the world's most expensive cities for expatriates.

Tokyo is the most expensive city to live in, followed by Osaka and Moscow. Moscow used to head the list.

European cities experienced some of the steepest falls because of currency effects, Mercer said.
