Sun Microsystems scraps 60 Dutch jobs

Computer group Sun Microsystems has applied for permission to cut some 60 jobs in the Netherlands because of falling worldwide demand.

The jobs to go account for some 15% of the company’s Dutch staff. Sun was taken over by Oracle in April and worldwide between 5,000 and 6,000 jobs are to go, news agency ANP reports.
