Star tattoo girl is a hoax: Dutch shock blogFriday 19 June 2009 The case of the 18-year-old Belgian girl Kimberley Vlaeminck who woke up with 56 stars tattooed on her face is a hoax, according to Dutch shock blog GeenStijl. The blog bases its claims on the fact the girl has declined all publicity and only given interviews to Belgian radio station MNM. And the famous Kimberlizer, which uses webcam images to put stars on the user's own face, was launched by the advertising agency behind MNM. More than that, MNM's logo is a star. 'An MNM worker could only laugh on hearing this story, denied nothing and said Kimberley would be in the studio with him the next day,' the blog said. Pictures of the girl, who claimed she fell asleep and woke up with all the tattoos, have featured in the media all over the world. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe

She got what she wanted, her "minute" (for lack of better words) of fame. It had to be a hoax or she would've taken a knock-out to get it done.
