One in 10 people working in the construction sector will lose their job over the coming two years, according to calculations by the building sector institute EIB.

In total, 50,000 construction jobs will vanish because of the economic crisis, the EIB says. Not only is the number of new building projects on the decline, but current developments are being introduced in phases or put on hold altogether, the institute says.
