Minister in court for mental health cuts

The country’s mental health services authority GGZ is to take health minister Ab Klink to court for his plans to shave 3.5% of the fees charged by its psychiatric and addiction services.

The authority say the cuts will have a serious effect on the way its member organisations work and lead to mounting waiting lists.
Klink believes the measure will cut €119m from health service spending and claims the GGZ has overspent its budget by €185m.
