Minister in court for mental health cuts
Friday 19 June 2009
The country's mental health services authority GGZ is to take health minister Ab Klink to court for his plans to shave 3.5% of the fees charged by its psychiatric and addiction services.
The authority say the cuts will have a serious effect on the way its member organisations work and lead to mounting waiting lists.
Klink believes the measure will cut €119m from health service spending and claims the GGZ has overspent its budget by €185m.
