London police search for missing banker

Police in London are searching for missing Dutch banker Huibert Boumeester, who has not been seen since Sunday evening.

The alarm was raised after Bouwmeester, who was CFO at ABN Amro prior to its takeover in 2007, failed to turn up to a business meeting on Monday.
Bouwmeester has a weapons’ licence and two of his six guns are missing from his home, police told news agency Reuters. Reuters claims he recently lost his job in the city.
In the Netherlands, Boumeester, 49, is considered to be a banker of stature, the Financieele Dagblad says.
