Holiday jobs easy to find despite crisis

Four out of five youngsters have not found it hard to find a holiday job for the summer, despite the economic crisis, according to the annual holiday job report published by the FNV trade union federation.

However, fewer youngsters are looking for a holiday job this year, said Jeroen de Glas, chairman of the union’s youth wing in the Telegraaf.
The most popular holiday job is shop work, followed by a job in a bar or cafe. Just 10% are looking for a temporary healthcare job. One in five are employed by friends or family and just 6.6% found their job by answering an advert.
