Economy shrinks less than forecast

The Dutch economic shrank by 2.6% in the first three months of this year compared with the last quarter of 2008, not 2.8% as earlier forecast, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.

Year on year, the economy declined by 4.5%, in line with earlier estimates, the CBS said.
