Third swine flu case in the Netherlands
Friday 08 May 2009
A 52-year-old man who returned from holiday in Mexico two days ago is third person to have been diagnosed with swine flu in the Netherlands, the national health institute RIVM said on Friday.
Health officials are now trying to trace other people who were on the same flight back to the Netherlands on Wednesday.
The RIVM said there is no connection between the two previous cases - a three-year-old girl and 53-year-old woman - and the man.
However, the organisation does expect further cases of swine flu to be identified over the next few days, Nos reported.
