An orthodox Muslim lawyer who refuses to stand when judges enter the court room has been given a formal warning by the Dutch law society.

If Mohammed Enait continues to refuse to stand, he will be suspended, the organisation said.

Enait, who says he will not stand for judges because in Islam all men are equal, has appealed against the warning and says he will go to the European court if necessary.

I am sure that he stands up at home when his parents enter the room or for that matter when his elders comes in...thats tradition/culture in the muslim world.

The guy is plain stupid by letting a non issue become an issue...Kick him out...

And he probably beats his poor beleaguered wife when she doesn't have dinner exactly on time or when she doesn't feel like giving him sex on demand because she's exhausted from slaving all day. That's tradition in his culture too. I'm with you, kick him out. Disbar him for obviously being a jerk in general.
