VU university to sack murder suspect

Amsterdam’s Vrije University said on Monday that it planned to sack visiting professor George Zinkhan who is wanted in connection with a triple shooting in the US.

Even though Zinkhan has not been convicted there were many witnesses to the shooting, VU spokesman Frank Snijders told the Volkskrant.
The 57-year-old, who has taught part-time in Amsterdam since 2007, shot dead his wife and two others at a picnic in Athens, Georgia on Saturday. He has since disappeared.
Police in the US say his passport has vanished. He is also known to have had a ticket to fly to Amsterdam on May 2, Fox news reports.
