Temperature soars to 23 Celsius

The temperature is set to reach as high as 23 Celsius in eastern parts of the country on Friday, according to weather bureau KNMI.
In much of the country, the temperature topped 20 Celsius on the first hot day of the year.
Cafe terraces and beach pavilions were packed with people enjoying the sunshine. But the temperatures are not unusual. The first warm days of the year are usually in April, the KNMI said.
But the weekend will be cooler, with showers possible in the east on Saturday, the KNMI said.
