Some 200 young girls were forced into prostitution by so-called boyfriends in 2007, double the 2006 figure, junior justice minister Nebahat Albayrak told MPs on Wednesday.

Officially pimps - known as loverboys in Dutch - are seen as people traffickers.

I find this shocking. The fact that the figure doubled in one year! I really hope that the authorities take this very seriously, and put a total stop to people trafficking, and to forced prostitution. As a father of a young girl I am bocoming more concerned about this matter.

This is really shocking. Though authorities can take all the action required to stop this forced prostitution, the problem should be solved at the root by educating the girls not to fall pray for the so called pimps.
