Soldiers can wear uniform to Gay Pride

Members of the armed forces will be allowed to wear their uniforms to this year’s Gay Pride event, junior defence minister Jack de Vries has said.


Last year, defence ministry officials banned soldiers and marines from wearing their uniforms during the traditional boat parade through Amsterdam’s canals, saying it would damage their dignity.
