A 72-year-old Dutchman has died after being run over during a robbery at a motorway car park near Valencia in Spain.

Dick van der Laan was in a coma for 20 days. He had chased the robbers who snatched a rucksack from his car and then drove at him, breaking his skull, shoulder and ribs and perforating his lung.
