Buyers queue up for clothes firm Oilily
Wednesday 08 April 2009
Between 15 and 20 buyers have come forward to take over colourful children's clothing company Oilily, which was declared bankrupt on Monday, the Telegraaf reports.
Curator Marc Molhuysen told the paper that the bankruptcy was a formality because it meant staff would continue to be paid. 'The shops will remain open,' he said.
Molhuysen hopes a new owner for Oilily, which has a workforce of 625, will be finalised by the end of the month. The company has 80 shops worldwide but booked a loss in 2006 and 2007. Its 2008 accounts have not been finalised, the Telegraaf says.
