Amsterdam pulls 'drunk Obama' poster

Wednesday 22 April 2009

Amsterdam's city marketing agency Amsterdam Partners has withdrawn posters showing a photoshopped Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin wearing t-shirts saying 'kiss me, I'm drunk', local tv station AT5 reports.

But posters featuring French president Nicolas Sarkozy and Italy's Silvio Berlusconi will not be pulled, AT5 said. The decision is notable because the Obama poster has not drawn official criticism but the Sarkozy one has, AT5 says.

A third poster features Hillary Clinton in orange afro wig and a bikini. The posters are advertising the Queen's Day celebrations on April 30.

Interesting that members of the Dutch royal family are not found on the posters. Hmm. Why not? Don't they support Queens Day?
