Public transport slower than the car

The time spent on a door to door short journey by public transport is almost twice as long as covering the same route by car, according to calculations by the CPB planning office and transport policy organisation KiM.

Public transport is used in 5% of the journeys undertaken in the Netherlands and accounts for 10% of the km travelled, the organisations say.
