New look for Amsterdam stock exchange

Tuesday 03 March 2009

The three Amsterdam stock exchange indices – the blue-chip AEX, midcap AMX and small cap AScX – have a new make up and weighting from Tuesday.

Dredging group Boskalis Westminister and Air France-KLM have been promoted to the AEX, replacing staffing agency USG People and financial services group Fortis.

USG has moved to the AMX, alongside Prologis European Properties. Pharming is out of AMX and into the AScX.

Homburg Invest, Hunter Douglas (window coverings) and Liberty Acquisition have moved into the AScX, replacing Fornix Biosciences, Gamma Holding (textiles), Van Lanschot (banking) and luxury car maker Spyker.
