AZ stretches lead over NAC and Ajax

Alkmaar football club AZ stretched its lead over the numbers two and three in the premier league this weekend with a 0-1 victory over Nijmegen's NEC.
The win is AZ's 24th league victory in a row. The club, knocked out of the Dutch Cup last week, is now 11 points clear of Twente.
Number two FC Twente drew 1-1 against PSV Eindhoven while Amsterdam's Ajax also drew 1-1 against ADO Den Haag.
Rotterdam's Feyenoord beat NAC Breda 2-1. NAC was physically and mentally exhausted after its Cup victory over AZ, news agency ANP said.
