Van der Sar sets British goal-free record

Manchester United goal-keeper and Dutch international Edwin van der Sar set a British goal keeping record this weekend by clinching his 13th clean sheet and not conceding a goal for 1212 minutes.

Van der Sar breaks the earlier British record by Bobby Clark, goalie for the Scottish club Aberdeen in 1970/71.

After Sunday's game Van der Sar told reporters that blocking goals was a 'team effort'.
