Turkish Airlines plane crashes at Schiphol

A Turkish Airlines plane en route from Istanbul has crashed on landing at Schiphol airport. The plane, a Boeing 737, was thought to be carrying 135 people.

A number of people have left the plane uninjured, according to early press reports. The plane landed close to the A9 motorway, having apparently missed the runway, and the tail has broken off. The road has been closed in both directions.
According to Turkish Airline officials in Istanbul, no-one was killed and several dozen people have been injured.
