Royal family stranded at ski resort

The royal family, including queen Beatrix and crown prince Willem-Alexander and his wife princess Maxima, are stranded in the Austrian ski resort of Lech following heavy snow falls, reports Wednesday’s Telegraaf.

Lech, which is situated in the Alps and has 5,500 inhabitants, is the royal family’s traditional winter holiday destination. The local mayor told the paper that he does not know how long his village will be cut off from the outside world.
