Roda football club saved from bankruptcy
Limburg football club Roda JC has been saved from bankruptcy by a financial injection of €3m from its local council.
Kerkrade town has agreed to invest €3m in the club’s stadium, increasing its stake in the building from 43% to a majority shareholding.
Roda, in talks on merging with nearby Fortuna Sittard, is currently third from bottom of the premier division.
