Man in court for not killing cat

Thursday 12 February 2009

A man who refused to drive over a cat and was given a €75 traffic fine for not driving through a green light is to appear in court for not paying the fine, the AD reports.

Cees Schuurmans from Schiedam says if he had driven off he would have killed the cat, which was using a zebra crossing.

They should arrest the traffic warden/policeman who gave the gentleman the fine for attempting to kill an animal.

Well at least the cat was clever enough to use the Zebra crossing. Unlike the traffic police who have the intelligience of an gnat. Maybe he (the cat) should represent himself in court!

Well trained cat! So if he drove over the cat would he be arrested by order of the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals?

Well if Gandhi's words are true, I guess I know where Holland stands: "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."
