Dutch stay healthy longer

Wednesday 11 February 2009

Dutch men and women are living until the age of 70 without any physical limitations, the national statistics agency CBS said on Wednesday.

In 1983, physical problems began appearing at the age of 64.

But the age at which chronic illness such as diabetes, cancer and rheumatism is diagnosed has fallen in the same period from 50 to 48 for men and from 55 to 42 for women.

The CBS says this is probably due to better diagnostic techniques and the growing awareness of personal health.

Of course they stay healthy longer. They are always off work sick. Or burn out as they like to call it!

Dear Sir or Madam,
Interested to read your article highlighting the CBS research. This is an ever increasing challenge. Its not so much about living linger its about improving the quality of the life you live. With food now having less vitamins and minerals than ever before its essential to supplement with good quality supplements. This also makes this business booming. Even in the economy that we are now in the market for these products is set to grow. If you would like further information about our business please feel free to contact me.
Yours failthfully
Liz

I hope Dutchnews got paid for the above advertisement. Food has fewer (not less) vitamins and minerals? The usual nonsense put about by supplement sellers.
