Dutch stay healthy longerWednesday 11 February 2009 Dutch men and women are living until the age of 70 without any physical limitations, the national statistics agency CBS said on Wednesday. In 1983, physical problems began appearing at the age of 64. But the age at which chronic illness such as diabetes, cancer and rheumatism is diagnosed has fallen in the same period from 50 to 48 for men and from 55 to 42 for women. The CBS says this is probably due to better diagnostic techniques and the growing awareness of personal health. © DutchNews.nl
