Students discover new planet

Three students at Leiden university have discovered a new planet near a star 1,000 light years away, says Thursday’s Volkskrant.

The planet, which they call Remefra after their names Remco, Meta and Francis, is five times as heavy and one-and-a-half times as big as Jupiter.
The students discovered the planet during astronomical research for their bachelor degrees, says the paper.
