PSV out of European football competition
Wednesday 10 December 2008
PSV Eindhoven ended last in group D in the European Champions League football competition after losing 1-3 to England’s Liverpool on Tuesday night.
A draw or win could have put PSV into third place and into the Uefa Cup.
The defending Dutch champions are now out of European competition this season.
Amsterdam’s Ajax and FC Twente are through to the Uefa knock-out rounds in the spring and Nijmegen’s NEC is still in with a chance.
