Minister backs skater sponsorship
Friday 19 December 2008
Social affairs minister Piet Hein Donner told parliament on Thursday evening that he supports the sponsorship of American speed skater Shani Davis by the state unemployment benefit office, says news agency ANP.
On Wednesday the office was criticised by MPs for the sponsorship. It says the deal will boost awareness of the new organisation cakked Werkbedrijf, a partnership between itself the UWV and the government job centres (CWI) due to begin in January.
Donner said sponsoring Davis is a good way of publicising Werkbedrijf for the lowest amount of money, says ANP.

Obviously Piet Hein Donner is NOT interested in helping Shani Davis. He is only interested in publicising Werkbedrijf at Shani's expense for the lowest amount of money. Shame on Mr.Donner and Werkbedrijf. If they paid Shani double the amount it would still be too little because every time Shani is on the podium millions of Dutch people see him and the amount of exposure should be worth millions too. If Shani was a Dutch skater they would need to pay him a lot more than they do and they know this to be the truth. How do you spell CHEAP in Dutch ?
