Dutch woman gets death threat from FARC
The anti-government FARC guerillas in Colombia have declared a Dutch woman a ‘military target’ and have plans to kill her. The announcement came from a FARC deserter who is now in jail in Bogota in an interview with Radio Caracol.
According to Tuesday’s AD, which reports on the interview, the woman is Ludwien Zumpolle, leader of Manos por la Paz which helps FARC guerillas return to normal society.
The paper says she is sanguine about the announcement. ‘Of course FARC doesn’t like me, because we are beating them from within without firing a single shot,’ she told the paper.
Two young Dutch women are said to be be fighting with FARC.
