Over 6% of teens have chlamydia

Some 6.3% of young people under the age of 20 have the sexually transmitted disease chlamydia according to a major survey of 8,500 sexually active teenagers carried out by regional public health departments.

Similar research in 2003 put the percentage at between 2% and 3% but this included all young people and not those who are sexually active.
