Charitable donations rise 6%

Dutch charities received €113m from donations in 2007, an increase of 6%, the national charities report said on Wednesday. In total, charities had €2bn to spend.


They used the money, says the report, for international aid (€810m), culture (€512m), nature and the environment (€234m) and healthcare (€310m).
Last year 10,000 people were employed full-time at charities.
