Ban on magic mushrooms confirmedTuesday 11 November 2008 The ban on the sale of fresh hallucinogenic mushrooms from December 1 has been confirmed by health minister Ab Klink on Monday evening as earlier reported. The ban covers both the growing and sale of these mushrooms. The sale of dried mushrooms is already banned. Klink said last year he would ban the so-called magic mushrooms following a series of incidents involving tourists. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to subscribe
In England we just go out and pick them - you couldn't sell them if you tried. By Christian | November 13, 2008 1:31 AM Of course its up to the Netherlands to decide these things for themselves but its a big mistake. Our experience has shown that people seeking similar pleasures will go on to use more high risk plants and synthetics such as Fly Agaric mushroom and LSD. This will have a far greater negative impact on citizens than magic mushrooms could ever have caused. the Dutch health ministry a few years ago pretty much gave a clean bill of health to Mushrooms .ie non toxic, low risk of addiction etc. world's getting madder by the day. By John Arthur | November 13, 2008 10:39 AM This choice came out following a series of incidents involving tourists. By Dave | November 13, 2008 6:03 PM Place your comments: |
