Ajax to keep its stock exchange listing

Amsterdam football club Ajax has decided to keep its stock exchange listing because an exit from the bourse ‘would not be opportune’ given the current economic climate.

Earlier this year Ajax said it was actively looking into leaving the stock exchange following a report which recommended the club revert to non-listed status.
Ajax issued five million shares at €11.35 at its IPO in 1998. The shares are now trading at €5.50.
