Friesian speakers lobby for equal rights

A committee is currently looking into whether Dutch should be enshrined in the constitution as the official language of the Netherlands and Friesian speakers want equal rights.
Friesian has been a compulsory primary school subject in the northern province of Friesland since 1980, says the paper.
