Holland sends observers to Georgia

The Netherlands will send 12 observers to Georgia to monitor the peace agreement with Russia, ANP reports.

From October 1, three Dutch state police troopers and nine civilians will help supervise compliance with the six-point plan as well as monitoring redevelopment and humanitarian projects.

Dutch peacekeepers in Georgia? Have the lessons of Srebenica been forgotten already? I pity the Georgians if the Russians decide that a bit of ethnic cleansing is in order. Still, the Dutch should make their job a whole lot easier!
