Groningen still top football league

FC Groningen remain at the top of the premier football league after beating Feyenoord of Rotterdam 3-1 on Sunday. Feyenoord had a player sent off at the start of the game.
FC Groningen have 10 points, one more than reigning champions PSV of Eindhoven, who struggled to overcome newly promoted FC Volendam 1-0 on Saturday.
NAC Breda are in third place after beating SC Heerenveen 4-2 on Saturday.
Ajax of Amsterdam notched a 3-0 victory over Vitesse of Arnhem on Sunday. The Amsterdammers were slow to get into gear, scoring the goals in the last 30 minutes of the match.
