Credit crisis costs Dutch banks €16bn
Dutch banks have lost around €16bn so far as a result of the credit crisis, reports the central bank in its quarterly report.
However, the bank says that turbulence on the financial markets has hit Dutch banks less hard in the second quarter of 2008 with write-downs running at €1.5bn. The size of losses each quarter is dropping slightly, according to the bank.
