The Hague couple win €25m lottery

Thursday night’s €25m state lottery jackpot has gone to a couple in The Hague. In total, 6.2 million tickets were sold for the biggest ever jackpot in Dutch lottery history.

The winner was late in coming forward because he made a mistake in reading the winning number and did not realise at first he had won the top prize, the Parool reported on Saturday.
In 2003, a €5m lottery prize was never claimed.
